Wonderful Houses, a Private Island and a Boat

Middle Cay, located just 1,000 yards from North Eleuthera and 1¼ miles from Harbour Island, is the Bahamas newest private retreat. Available now for rent, this two-acre isle is surrounded by crystal blue water, which is absolutely sublime. The main house sits on a large lawn dotted with palm trees and has fabulous views in every direction. This very open feeling beach house has cool tile floors and interiors that are casual and airy in feeling yet furnished with great style. 

The surrounding area is famous for its pink sand beaches, deep sea and bone fishing and the best coral reefs and wrecks for diving in the Bahamas. Catch a wave on Eleuthera's Surfer's Beach or go over to Harbour Island and rent jet skis, boats, bicycles or golf carts for touring this charming island, which also has several good and fun restaurants and a beautiful pink sand beach.

Middle Cay has everything one would want of a tropical paradise – privacy, a wide sand beach with comfortable lounge chairs, oversized umbrellas and a cabana with a bar, table and chairs. There is also a chlorine-free freshwater pool overlooking the bay, a new dock that can accommodate a 75’ boat with a shore station with power and water and even a charming lighthouse. When renting this idyllic cay, guests have the choice of the inclusive price or "bareboat."  Either way life on your own private island is heaven.

Amenities

Inclusive Rate
3 meals daily, chef, maid service, use of the sailboat and the 13' Boston Whaler. The cay's owner will act as captain for cruises, snorkeling adventures and fishing on his new 30' fishing boat. (Fuel is an extra cost. Gear and equipment are included.)

"Bareboat" Rate
For guests who bring in everything, and do not want a cleaning lady or chef. Access to everything but the Whaler and fishing boat is included. A cleaning woman and boat rental can be arranged. 

• Either the very nice owner or his brother-in-law will stay in the cottage to ensure guests have a wonderful stay.
• Middle Cay is available with a minimum three day rental except during Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year when a minimum of seven to ten days is required.
• For larger groups, the cottage is occasionally available for rent.

How to Get There: Middle Cay is a short one-hour flight from Miami or Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (Continental, US Air, Twin Air, Bahamas Air and charters). When traveling to the Bahamas one must have either a valid passport. Guests fly into the North Eleuthera airport, where they are met by staff and brought to 3 Island Dock (about 3 miles) for the short boat trip over to the cay. (This is the same dock where one takes the water taxi to Harbour Island.)
