FLOMARINE Flomarine is the most wonderful hillside house with sensational views across Mustique to the sea and neighboring islands. This 8,000 sq. ft. house offers guests the most privacy, utter tranquility, constant breezes from silky trade winds and equal bedroom accommodations. Owned by a renowned trompe l’oeil artist and his wife, the décor reflects their great sense of style combined with an obvious love of travel. Throughout this totally chic and very airy house are objects and beautiful furniture from Bali and other exotic spots. Outside in the lush tropical garden are citrus and mango trees, bougainvillea, fragrant plants and lovely flowering vines that climb on the columns of both verandahs. Immediately upon entering Flomarine, one is dazzled by the spectacular view. Inside its front gate is an interior garden scented with delicious frangipani and a huge raised cage with the prettiest lovebirds that sing all day. Beneath it is a specially designed area with several resident small turtles, who are visible only when they’re in the mood. Ahead is the virtually open living room, which flows onto a spacious verandah on three sides with seating and dining areas. At one end is a separate dining pavilion. Two sets of stairs lead down first to the bedroom level and another verandah with a charming sitting area and great views and then to the lowest level with a loggia, terrace and flower laden pergola overlooking the large infinity pool. At one end of the terrace is a large pavilion with another dining and sitting area. Throughout Flomarine the attention to detail and visual pleasure is evident and the result is sublime Main Floor
