Flomarine is the most wonderful hillside house with sensational views across Mustique to the sea and neighboring islands. This 8,000 sq. ft. house offers guests the most privacy, utter tranquility, constant breezes from silky trade winds and equal bedroom accommodations. Owned by a renowned trompe l’oeil artist, the décor reflects his great sense of style combined with an obvious love of travel. Throughout this chic and very airy house are objects and beautiful furniture from Bali and other exotic spots. Outside in the lush tropical garden are citrus and mango trees, bougainvillea, fragrant plants and lovely flowering vines that climb on the columns of both porches.

Upon opening Flomarine's Balinese front gate, one steps into an interior garden scented with delicious frangipani. Ahead is the virtually open living room that flows onto a spacious covered porch on three sides with a seating area and a separate dining pavilion at one end. To get there one passes a specially designed garden with baby tortoises in residence. They are visible only when they’re in the mood or when they're having their breakfast of fresh-picked hibiscus. A double staircase leads first down to the bedroom level and another porch with a charming sitting area and great views and then to the lowest level, which has a loggia with a flower-laden pergola overlooking the large infinity pool. At one end of the terrace is a large pavilion with another sitting and dining area with a drinks fridge. Throughout Flomarine the attention to detail and visual pleasure is evident and the result is sublime.
