Gun Point sits within a private estate on a 5½-acre peninsula in the island’s West End. Its superb location offers the utmost in privacy as well as magnificent views.  This historic property also has a dock with steps into the water for swimming and excellent snorkeling and it’s a 5-minute walk to one of Tortola’s prettiest beaches. At the very top of the point is the site where a Royal Navy cannon was used centuries ago to fire at passing pirate ships. Now a nature trail leads to this breezy spot, which is fun for sunset drinks as it has breathtaking views of the sea, passing boats and green islands. This charming house was built in 1969 around Gun Point's original 18th-century gunpowder store. In 2005, it was completely renovated to a high standard and now offers five new air-conditioned bedrooms in two pavilions, all facing out to sea.  Steps from the covered terrace lead to the 12’ x 21’ infinity-edge and state-of-the-art low-chemical pool, sun deck and an outdoor shower. From there, three paths wind through tropical landscaping. One path leads 150 ft. from the terrace to the private dock and a dock house with fishing and snorkeling gear and a roof deck that’s perfect for lunch. Another goes to the top of the Point and the third is a shaded path through the garden to the white sand beach of beautiful Smuggler’s Cove, which is about 600 yards away.  

This terrific, electronically gated family estate offers secluded luxury, glorious scenery and a sense of history. Gun Point is a very special place and perfect for a group of friends or a family.

• “Union”- Master bedroom with a king-size bed, air-conditioning, bathroom en suite, private terrace and French Doors opening to the main terrace. This bedroom was the original gunpowder store.
• “Jack”- Bedroom with a king-size bed (or two twins), air-conditioning, bathroom en suite and French Doors opening to the main terrace.

• "Fish"- Bedroom with a king-size bed, air-conditioning, bathroom en suite and a private terrace
• "Chips"- Bedroom with a king-size bed (or two twins), air-conditioning and a private terrace
• “Salt”- Bedroom with a double bed, air-conditioning and a private terrace
• Bathroom shared by the above two bedrooms

• "Pepper" - an air-conditioned study with a home office with computer, a double sofa bed and a half bath with a covered alfresco shower just outside.

Included
Half-day trip to either Jost Van Dyke or Norman Island on a 30 ft. Scarab powerboat (with two 250-hp engines) with an experienced captain for snorkeling, fishing and sightseeing. In case of consistently poor weather, massages at Gun Point will be offered instead. (No cash refunds will be given.)

Staff
Maid service is 5 days weekly (guests have a choice of which days). Personal laundry will be done at no extra charge by housekeeper.

Gourmet dinners by one of Gun Point's recommended chefs may be arranged prior to arrival or during your stay, and will be charged on a per-person basis - please inquire for menus and rates.
