The grace and charm
of the bygone Caribbean comes to life at lovely Jacaranda, which is
situated within the exclusive gated Dolphin Estate near Soper's Hole
anchorage in the West End. This classic West Indian style house with
gingerbread trim, is set within beautiful landscaping with
large shade trees and serpentine garden paths winding through lush
tropical flowers and plants.
On the main level of Jacaranda are the
living and dining areas with wide French doors opening onto the breezy verandah, which has
cushioned Adirondack chairs, comfy chaises, a dining table and hammock.
One side of the verandah overlooks glorious long-distance ocean views
of Sir Francis Drake Channel, St. John and outlying islands and on the
other side the 11' x 21' swimming pool. One can dine alfresco on
either the verandah or beyond in the garden alcove with its gas grill,
table, chairs and umbrella. On the lower
levels are four air-conditioned bedrooms. Each suite is very nicely
decorated with an artistic mix of styles, Caribbean colors and
French doors opening to a covered verandah. Jacaranda has been
lovingly renovated and offers a great and stylish retreat. Making
this house even more perfect is that two of the island’s prettiest
beaches, Smuggler’s Cove and Long Bay are about 10 minutes away by
car.

Great Room
has cable TV with DVD/CD player and VCR. Garden Level bedrooms each
have cable TV with DVD/CD player and VCR, and Lower Level 4th bedroom
has cable TV and CD player only. Jacaranda has an iPod docking station,
radio, books, games, movie and music collections, A/C in all bedrooms,
DSL line for your laptop, answering machine, safe for valuables in each
BR, mini-fridge and coffeemaker in Lower Level BR, hammock, gas grill,
dishwasher, washer and dryer for guests' moderate use. The first
night's arrival dinner (cold plate with salad, bread, fruit, wine,
beer, water and soft drinks) are included in the rental rate.
