Carved into solid rock atop a hillside, Casa Cariño is timeless in its architecture yet it was only completed in 2002. This beautifully designed house, which was built by local artisans, offers guests utter luxury, comfort and first class service. From each of the numerous balconies and windows is a fantastic and sweeping view of this historic city’s bell towers, gothic church spires, colorful structures and ultimately the distant mountains that change color as day fades into night.

Step through front doors into an extraordinary rotunda with galleries on two upper floors and a beveled glass dome. Casa Cariño's interiors are furnished to compliment the colonial architecture and feature hand carved doors, local tile and fifteen carved stone fireplaces. Adding to the gorgeous décor is an extensive collection of local art that rivals those in the galleries and museums of San Miguel. Each of the seven spacious bedrooms has a bathroom en suite, cable TV, high speed wireless Internet and a fireplace. Outside are flower-filled gardens and terraces and on the lowest level, a large pool and a fountain/hot tub. From Casa Cariño's lofty perch, one can walk to Jardín, the main plaza, in 10 minutes and in 3 minutes to Benito Juárez Park.

Casa Cariño was designed to blend old world charm with every modern convenience. It was also created as an ideal house for entertaining with numerous terraces and outdoor living spaces. Whether for a large family, group of friends or corporate retreat, Casa Cariño (House of Affection) is a fabulous property. It’s also perfect for a destination wedding whether it be an intimate ceremony in front of the fireplace in the rotunda accompanied by a string quartet or an elaborate party with thousands of fresh roses, seated dinner for up to 150, dance floor and a band or traditional mariachis.

Amenities
Elevator, state of the art telephones (Vonage), fax, high-speed wireless Internet access, 15 fireplaces (gas and wood burning, cable TVs, modern appliances, filtered water, DVD and CD players and stereo system. As part of my service, I am happy to arrange roundtrip airport transfers, tours, day and shopping trips, advance grocery shopping, the first couple of meals at home and massages and fiestas (mariachis, piñatas etc.) at the house.

Staff
The large staff includes 24-hour on-site and English speaking house manager/butler, wait personnel, maids and wonderful cooks (ready to serve anything from light snacks to elaborate multi-course dinners), gardener/pool man, night watchman and a day guard, who sleeps in the gatehouse. The staff works 6½ days weekly (off Sunday afternoon/evening) and serves 3 meals daily. The house manager will also make restaurant reservations and will drive up to 8 guests in the house’s SUV to and from restaurants.Services Available at an Additional Cost
Spa services and entertainment at the house like massage, manicures and pedicures, a fiesta with a mariachi band etc., which will be arranged by the house manager.

• No children under the age of 10 years unless agreed to by the owner and no pets.
• As food and liquor are not included in the price, guests give money to the house manager, who purchases everything.
