CASA QUINTA OCHO
San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
5 (+ 1) Bedrooms, 6 ˝ Bathrooms (Sleeps up to 12)
Casa Quinta Ocho is an absolute treasure tucked away
in Mexico’s most beautiful colonial town. Wonderfully located 2 blocks from lovely Benito Juárez
Park and a 10 - 15 minute walk from the Jardín, the house was designed to look as
though it’s stood for centuries. Throughout this marvelous casa, which
is full of antiques collected on travels around the world, the
extraordinary attention paid to detail is everywhere. From the 18th
century style sala with huge beams and high ceilings to the 21st
century electronics to the first class service, the owners have thought
of everything. There are also seven dining areas – one for every day of
the week. Each offers a unique perspective and makes the excellent
meals even more fun and special. Adding to the sumptuous surroundings
is the exotic Blue Bar – a perfect respite for a quiet moment….or
otherwise!
Just as fabulous are the large exterior spaces with four distinct
gardens. A large set of French doors on Calle la Quinta open from the
street into a totally walled and luxurious paradise with fountains and
orange tree allée leading through the courtyard to the main
house. From its foyer, doors open to a loggia with seating and dining
areas and to a green marble tiled pool, which can be heated. At the
other end of the pool a wall fountain, with spouting rams heads, is
flanked by stone staircases that lead up to another lush garden with a
seating and dining area under a bougainvillea laden pergola. Casa
Quinta Ocho was designed to reflect an era of gracious colonial charm
while providing every modern convenience like a flawless elevator, 11
gas-log fireplaces and several flat-screen TVs. Romantic interiors and
exteriors, 21st century technology and an excellent staff - This
beautiful, one-of-a-kind house has it all.
