This extraordinary villa is one of the most famous on Mexico's pacific coast. Built for Gian Franco Brignone, the creator of Costa Careyes, this fantastic house is as extraordinary as the gentleman himself is. The first villa here, Mi Ojo is designed in the unique Mexican-Mediterranean style for which Careyes is now famous. Its architecture also blends the modern look of the Luis Barragan school with the primitive palapa and the result is visually sublime.

Built atop a rocky cliff with panoramic views of the coastline and surrounded by palm trees, the bright blue villa consists of an enormous two story palapa and another building housing all the large bedrooms suites, which all have bathtubs. Mi Ojo is designed so that all the large rooms have fabulous views and are also very private. Several open and covered terraces on different levels offer wonderful sitting areas with great views. A few steps down from the living area of the palapa is the very long and stylish pool with another terrace. Just below is a 240 ft. long hanging bridge linking the villa to a small peninsula, which is part of the property. It has a small natural botanical garden as well as meditation platforms.

Services Available at an Additional Cost: Guests can request their menus in advance and on all food and beverages purchased, there is a 10% service charge. Airport transfers on request with the driver of the house.

Notes: A minimum of four nights is required during the year and a minimum of fourteen nights for Christmas and New Year. All service is included except food, drinks, phones and tips. The car is for use of the staff only and there is an independent house for the caretaker.

Distances: Chamela, 10 minutes north of Careyes has a 4000 ft. dirt strip for light aircraft; Manzanillo is one hour north and Puerto Vallarta is two hours south. While the Manzanillo airport is closer, and is served by Alaska Airlines, Mexicana, Southwest, Aerolitoral and Aerocalifornia airlines, Puerto Vallarta receives all major airlines.
