The first villa here, Mi Ojo is designed in the unique
Mexican-Mediterranean style for which Careyes is now famous. Its
architecture also blends the modern look of the Luis Barragan school
with the primitive palapa and the result is visually sublime. Distances: Chamela, 10 minutes north of Careyes has a 4000 ft. dirt strip for light aircraft; Manzanillo is one hour north and Puerto Vallarta is two hours south. While the Manzanillo airport is closer, and is served by Alaska Airlines, Mexicana, Southwest, Aerolitoral and Aerocalifornia airlines, Puerto Vallarta receives all major airlines. |
